Indonesian Giveaway

People! I’m finally back with a giveaway! I’ve been wanting to do this giveaway for a while now, but the first time I tried, I was in Qatar, so my blogger dashboard was in Arabic, and I don’t speak Arabic. (sigh) Then the next time I wanted to post it… Have I mentioned my phone stopped working? Well, has. :-/ Therefore I couldn’t use it to take pictures, and a giveaway post is way better with pictures, right, folks? So finally, I borrowed my dad’s phone and woosh! Here the post is. 🙂
As y’all have probably figured out by now, I like having giveaways for you. Why? Well, because I think it helps show my appreciation for all your wonderful support. And of course it makes blogging more fun. Who doesn’t like to get something for free? Plus, when I give you something special, I get to share a little bit of my life with you.
Traveling to Indonesia isn’t something everyone has a chance to do, but I can bring a little bit of Indonesia back to y’all (so to speak…), and that’s the next best thing right? (Well, maybe not, but it’s better than nothing.) Therefore, when I was over in Indonesia for a month, I went shopping and got these fun gifts to share. (And sorry folks, but the prizes can only be sent to USA addresses.)
Prize #1
Money, folks. Doesn’t that look like a ton? In reality it’s their 10 cent and 20 cent pieces. Crazy, right? It was so weird getting used to their money system over there. I would ask how much something cost and they would be like “Twenty thousand” (two dollars, I think…) and I would feel like freaking out. 🙂 It made me feel kinda rich though.
And that tea. OH MY LANDS! Can we gush over the amazingness of that tea right there. ^ Eeeeek! The first time I had it, I felt like I was in a field surrounded by flowers, tasting heaven. Or something like that anyway. It is beyond good. If you win the prize and don’t like it, DON’T THROW IT AWAY! Give it to someone or if you don’t know anyone who likes it, send it back to me. It’s that good. 😉
Prize #2
And more money, because really, who wouldn’t like to show that money off to their friends? When someone asks you how much you have, you can just casually say “Oh, I have five hundred in my pocket” (don’t add the word dollar, because it’s actually riburupiah, but that’s a pretty cool word, too). And instant coffee. I never actually made it myself, but I generally begged (or stole…) a couple of sips from Hosanna and Melody each day. It was SO GOOD! Like the ahhh kind of goodness. (Oh, and thanks, Hosanna and Melody for being so sweet and sharing… I mean, you did know you were sharing, right?)
Prize #3
And with all the pictures of me wearing a scarf, how could I not give y’all a chance to win one for yourself? Of course, this can be worn just like a regular scarf (around the neck instead of over the head). It’s a gray scarf with darker gray flowers and then pink stems. I think it’s beautiful. 😉 I’ve been wearing these scarfs a lot, and me oh my, I like them! (I know, y’all are like, No, really?)
So, since we’re leaving for Europe in less than a week, this giveaway is only for a few days. And since it’s always fun to have more people join in the party, I’ve included options for you to get points from sharing about the giveaway. Have fun and have a great day!
