Home Again, Home Again!

After fifty-five and a half hours of traveling, we arrived home this morning at 3:20. It’s great to be back, although I’m already missing my friends back in Indonesia. Being with my family again is amazing though and I’m soaking it up.

Of course I have a lot to tell y’all, but somehow my mind isn’t working quite normally yet. 14 hour flights and 12 hour layovers will do that to a person, you know. Here’s an interesting thing about our trip: April 15th lasted for over 30 hours for us. Crazy, right?

My phone has stopped working, therefore I wasn’t able to get pictures on our way home, so I’m using pictures for this post from our trip there, since the internet was too slow to post many pictures during this past month. And speaking of Internet, hopefully I’ll get caught up on answering the comments in the next day or two. 🙂

I’m so excited about getting to spend a little over a week at home! It’s good to be back in my own room, hugging my own dog and cooking in my own kitchen (not that it’s actually mine…). It’s crazy that in nine days we’ll, Lord willing, be flying to Europe. I didn’t get nearly as many European history books read as I had wanted to. Oh well, going to Indonesia was way worth it. 😉

Thank you to everyone who prayed for me during my month in Asia. It was a really, really amazing time and I’m so very thankful I got to go. I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to Asia, but I sure would like to. 🙂

What about you? What have y’all been up to recently?

Welcome home!!!! I'm glad your trip went well. I can't even imagine the amount of jet lag you must be experiencing. I'm not sure what to think of the picture of your plane mean. The only thing I can figure out from the picture is the roll. And something that looks kind of like rice. :-/ It might have almost been easier for you to stay over there and you and your family meet up in Europe. I hope you're getting rested. Have a great Friday!!!

I'm so glad y'all had such a great time. What a fabulous opportunity for you and your brother. Praise the Lord for His traveling mercies over you both! 🙂

Yes, meeting up with the family in Europe would have probably been easier. 🙂 But I'm glad to get to spend several days at home first, plus it's a whole different set of clothes I'm packing for Europe. (The difference between island weather and European weather…) And yes, most of the food we had on the plane was Asian or Middle Eastern. It was delicious!
